Spokes of a Hub is a citywide movement devoted to nurturing cultural sustainability throughout Oakland’s diverse communities.

This alliance is built upon shared beliefs:

*We believe sustainability can be achieved by cultivating a culture of collaboration and resource exchange; fully utilizing our existing resources; and working to impact public policy with strategic community-based initiatives.

* We believe that through building meaningful alliances, creative workers have great capacity to effect change within Oakland’s artistic communities, and for the community-at-large.

* We believe that through a grassroots, inquiry-based process, the talents and resources of our cultural arts communities can be pooled and applied to build a culture of shared, equitable collaboration.
